The Cook Family Ranch
We are so happy to welcome you to Stillwater Creek Farms, our family’s ranch here in Orlando, Oklahoma! We are Rodney, Meredyth, Emma, and Katie Cook. We raise our grass-fed, pasture beef and pasture pork in a manner that meets or exceeds Beef Quality Assurance and Pork Quality Assurance guidelines.

-
Rodney
Rodney has had a few careers in his life (including suit-and-tie ones!), but grew up with livestock and has a special gift for moving around livestock in a calm and gentle manner. Because of this, Stillwater Creek Farms cattle and pigs move slowly and calmly and come up to be hand fed. Rodney could not be happier to have returned to his livestock roots full-time several years ago and is a graduate of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Leadership Program, an OSU Master Cattleman, and is Beef Quality Assurance certified.
-
Meredyth
Meredyth is a veterinarian who is board certified in Large Animal Internal Medicine, specializing in livestock medicine and has taught at 3 different veterinary schools. She has provided over 200 hours of in-person continuing education, authored more than 30 textbook chapters, and co-edited a camelid veterinary procedures textbook.
She works with all livestock species to improve their health and welfare. Together, their focus is on proper nutrition, animal comfort, and producing food you will feel good about feeding to your family.
-
Emma & Katie
Emma and Katie also have had a lifetime of being around livestock and love raising horses and cattle. Both are excellent on horseback and love to ride their horses among the cows. Both girls are talented in many areas. Emma particularly enjoys art and music, while Katie has a real gift for working around horses and loves to work with beads.

“Ordered a half cow from Stillwater Creek Farms for the first time a couple months ago. It was super easy, organized and excellent communication from Rodney. The processor was very professional and easy to work with and the beef was delivered as promised and processed exactly as ordered. It is the best tasting, highest quality beef we have ever purchased. We are so thankful to have found Rodney and his yummy cows!”
Lindsay Kelley | Luther, OK

Our cattle and swine have their own in-house livestock specialist veterinarian (Meredyth) and a rancher (Rodney) who values gentle cattle handling above all else. We have each committed to raising livestock to the highest ethical standards. We are personally with our livestock daily.
What We Offer

Experience the Difference Between the Big Box Stores vs Family Ranching.
-
MADE IN THE USA
When you purchase from a big box store the label may say that it’s made in the USA but its actually only processed state side. Most of the cattle comes from Brazil or China.
When purchasing from a small family farm you can ensure that the cattle are getting extra care and living in open pasture. We even go a step further as we have Meredyth, who is our veterinarian who specializes in livestock medicine and nutrition.
-
DRY AGED FOR 21 DAYS
Only 4 plants in the US do large commercial processing and are not American owned.
We use a custom processor in Kansas who only does mom and pop farms and also dry ages for 21 days, which is what you would eat at a high end restaurant.
-
GRASS FED
Mass produced cattle go to a feed lot about 120-180 days before processing.
We use a mixture of different feeds that help with marbling that gives a unique and defined flavor that you wont find in mass produced cattle. Instead of relying on cubes throughout the year, we are more grass based to ensure high body conditioning scores. Including feeding winter wheat during the colder months to ensure our cattle are still eating enough grass.

THE PROCESS
From start to finish, here is what you can expect when ordering in bulk from our family ranch.
-
Visit the shop to place your order on what is currently available.
If we are out of stock you are able to enter your email to be put on the waitlist.
Bulk orders are processed every two to three months.
You can sign up for our newsletter to be informed when bulk ordering is available.
-
Pay your deposit online through our shop.
-
Once the cattle are ready, Rodney will deliver the cattle himself to their USDA inspected processor, Kiowa Chieftain Meats.
-
The processor will then call you directly to explain the process and give guidance on what thickness of steaks to order along with the different cuts you can get from your order.
-
Once your cuts have been determined and your hanging weight is calculated, your order is then dry aged for 21 days.
Then your bulk order is cut into your requested cuts, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen to lock in freshness.
-
You will then receive an invoice from Rodney approximately two days before he sets up your delivery or pick up method, which requires payment in full at time of invoicing.
-
Choose whether you want delivery or pickup at one of our two markets that we attend.
The areas we deliver are North OKC which include Stillwater, Edmond, Guthrie, Jones, Arcadia and the small towns around those cities.
We will deliver South OKC for a minimum of a half bulk order, and dependent on distance.
Delivery for under $200 of product is $25 and anything over $200 is complimentary.
For pick up you can find us at the Stillwater Farmers' Market every Saturday or at the Guthrie Farmers Market every Friday.
-
Enjoy! We really appreciate you supporting local and a process that allows our cattle to live a happy and health life which thus gives you a better meal when you get home.
It would mean the world to us if you would leave us a review on either google or facebook and even share and tag us in your meals.
